HEAVY-LIFT · OVER-DIMENSIONAL · BREAKBULK

Big, heavy, awkward? That's our kind of cargo.

Plant machinery, turbines, transformers and whole production lines, moved from the factory floor abroad to your foundation in India. We survey the route, file the permits, plan every lift and clear it under project import rules.

PROJECT IMPORTS · TARIFF HEADING 9801

One registration. One rate of duty. Every shipment in the project.

Setting up or expanding a plant? Under the Project Imports Regulations, all the machinery, components and spares for an eligible project can be registered with Customs and cleared under heading 9801 at a single rate of duty, instead of classifying each item separately. We handle the registration, track every consignment against the contract and finalise the project at the end. EPCG authorisations for capital goods are also covered.

FROM FACTORY FLOOR TO FOUNDATION

How a project move works.

1 Assess Drawings, weights and the site reviewed. Feasibility confirmed.
2 Engineer Route survey, lift plan and choice of vessel or box.
3 Permit Customs registration, ODC permits and port approvals.
4 Ship Lifted, lashed and sailed, with photos at every stage.
5 Clear Discharged and cleared against the project registration.
6 Deliver Escorted road move to site and placed on the foundation.
FROM OUR FILES

One export. Eight journeys.

A steel tube mill for West Africa combined Indian manufacturing with specialised components sourced from seven countries.

We set up a customs bonded warehouse inside the port, consolidated every component there, and exported it as one complete machine.

Project cargo questions

What counts as ODC or over-dimensional cargo?+

Anything too wide, too high, too long or too heavy for a standard container or a normal truck. On Indian roads that usually means special permits and escorts. We assess each piece individually.

Who is eligible for project imports under 9801?+

Imports for setting up or substantially expanding eligible industrial projects, such as power, industrial plants and certain infrastructure. The project must be registered with Customs before clearance. We check eligibility with you first.

Can you move machinery from a closed factory abroad?+

Yes. Our partners abroad handle dismantling and crating at origin, and we run the export, the sea move and the project-import clearance in India as one job.

How early should we contact you?+

As early as possible, ideally while the purchase is still being negotiated. Route surveys and registrations take time, and the Incoterm you agree with the seller affects the whole plan.

Send us the drawings. We'll plan the move.
